3-18 Meeting

Hi all,

I am so very proud of our girls (and Moms), they did amazing job at selling cookies this year!  Our troop sold out of cookies, meaning we will not have to pay out of profit for any boxes!! Woot Woot!!!  We sold 197 cases, or 2364 boxes, and made a profit of $1400!!!!

We will be having our regular meeting tonight at 6pm.  It will, however be our last regular meeting.  With half of our group doing soccer practice twice a week, piano, play practice, dance, and jobs, there is not a night of week we could meet any longer.

We will plan a bridging/end of the year party for the girls one Sunday in late April early May, and they will receive all their awards and badges at that point.  We will also have a weekend trip with their cookie money.  This will be scheduled on the weekend that the most girls can attend.  We will leave Valdosta on Saturday morning and return on Sunday afternoon, location to be announced.  Please let me know if May 17-18 or May 24-25 would work better for your girl as soon as possible so we can get reservations in place.

Thanks, see you all tonight.

Saturday March 8th Booth

Hi All,

Thank you for all the well wishes, I am feeling a bit better today.  We have a cookie booth at Walmart on Inner Perimeter Rd from 9-1 this Saturday.  It also happens to be the first weekend of soccer games for both my girls and ******.  Chris and I would really like to watch their first game, so we are requesting as much help from you all as we can.  My girls play at 9 and ****** at 11, so we will be able to alternate. Our girls will not be attending this booth sale.

I do need one other mother daughter team for our 10:30-1:15 slot and st least one more Girl Scout, and a single Girl Scout for the 8:30-10:30 slot.  If I missed anyone or the times I have set for you do not work, please let me know!

Oh, and please make sure that you and your scout wear CLOSED TOE SHOES to this event!!!!

Free Badge Your Girls can Earn

Free Badge Your Girls can Earn

I just wanted to share some info on the Make New Friends treasure chest badge. It is free to any scout that brings a friend into the program. After the first friend, girls earn a diamond for every additional girl they bring into the program. It’s an iron on and I think it’s just super cute so please let me know when one of the girls in your troop has earned one!

Booth Times

Hi everyone,

Thank you so much to all the Moms, Dads, and girls who helped out with our booth sale last Saturday!!!!!  We had a blast and sold 322 boxes of cookies for our troop!!! Every girl who participated sold 12 boxes an hour and those sales will be logged under her name!!!!!

We still have about 500 boxes to sell.  I know, I over ordered based on other troops sales.  Rookie mistake.  I have a few more booth sales set up for our troop and I would love all the participation I can get.  Please reply and let me know which booth you want to work with your daughter and the times you will be there.

Valdosta Mall, Belk side, Sunday March 2nd 1-6pm.

Wal-Mart, Inner Perimeter, Saturday March 8th, 9am-1pm

Apple Bees, 1301 St. Augustine Rd., Sunday March 9th 2-4pm

Also, if you have not turned in any cookie sale money to me or Chris yet, you must meet one of us in Valdosta NO LATER THAN Thursday the 27th of February.  Our account will be drafted on Monday March 3rd for our initial order, and I must have that money deposited by Friday!  PLEASE CALL OR TEXT ME WITH A DATE AND TIME SO I CAN PICK UP YOUR COOKIE MONEY

Booth Sales and Cookie Money

Our booth sale is this coming Saturday the 22nd from 5-8pm at Wal Mart on Inner Perimeter. HAVE YOUR DAUGHTER WEAR HER UNIFORM AND CLOSED TOED SHOES.  I will have drinks for them at the booth.  Chris and I will set up before 5pm, we will have a table at each door.  If it is raining I will cancel this booth sale and we will do another one later.  I will keep you all posted on that.  PLEASE DO NOT BRING ANY COOKIE MONEY TO THE BOOTH SALE.  Chris and I will need to focus on the girls and their safety plus the money we collect from sales on site, adding thousands of dollars to that would not be safe.
On that note, I will need to meet with any of you that have not turned in ANY cookie money no latter than Wednesday February 26th.  If you have paid in full or turned in part of your money you are fine (there are 5 of you including Chris and I).  We are still $1800 shy of paying for 1/2 of our INITIAL ORDER, and the due date for that is coming up VERY SOON!  I will be in Valdosta on Monday and Tuesday around and before lunch.  I will be happy to meet you to pick up your money, send me a text at 299-300-9641, so that I can deposit your cookie money into our account!
This is the current sign up schedule, PLEASE NOTE ANY CHANGES TO TIMES AND MOMS NAMES LISTED TO HELP AT A BOOTH. I need another parent from 4:30-6PM please.  We need a minimum of 2 adults at each booth at all times.

IF YOU ARE AN ADULT ON MY LIST, PLEASE SEND ME A REPLY AND CONFIRM YOUR TIME AND ATTENDANCE.

IMPORTANT Meeting Information

Hi All,

How are those cookie sales going?  I placed another order for our troop to pick up this week as we have sold through most of our booth sale cookies already!!!!  Bringing our grand total to 205 cases if they all sell and a profit of $1600 for our troop!

Chris and I both have previous commitments this Tuesday and will need to reschedule our meeting for Thursday February 20th at 6pm.  We will meet at McKey Park 112 Burton Ave. Valdosta, GA 31602.  The playground we will meet at is across form the middle school and has green play equipment.  We are going to let the girls play and exercise to finish up their badge requirements from the last meeting.  While they play, Chris and I will take up all the cookie money you have collected this far.  Many of you have asked and I need to have all the money deposited by March 8th in our troop account.  Most of your cookies should be delivered by Thursday along with monies collected, so please bring all that you have collected with you to the meeting, CASH ONLY.  If you still have undelivered cookies, do not worry about those, do not pay for them out of your own pocket, we have plenty of time still.  We will count, log and have you sign for your money, and provide you with a receipt.  Please bring your families with you to the park and we can all play and have some fun.  I will have a fun snack for us all and when you want to call it a night, you can head home.

Our booth sale is this coming Saturday the 22nd from 5-8pm at Wal Mart on Inner Perimeter.  We will have a table at each door.  If it is rainng I will cancel this booth sale and we will do another one I have signed up for our troop.  I will keep you all posted on that.  This is the current sign up schedule I have, if your girls want to participate in the booth sales and are not on my list, or if I have a mistake on time or people, please let me know

Meeting 2-4

Hi all,

Krista (thank you so much) will be doing this meeting for our girls and she would like the girls to wear comfortable workout clothes, bring a water bottle and a beach towel.

After a wonderful time at Reed Bignham and the happy tired girls at the end of the day Chris and I have 2 more really fun outdoor events planed for our troop.  For our two scouts who missed the Camp Day, we will be hiking again at Bird Song and possibly doing an official Camp out in the coming months.  More on this later.  Your girls will not need to make up any work at this time.

I would like a list from each family of weekends in March April and May that you would  NOT be available to participate in an event.  We want to plan these two things when the most girls can attend, partially so they can earn their badges and mostly because your girls rock and I love being around them!!!!

Chris and I will be picking up our big cookie order on February 8th.  We will have all your cookies from your INITIAL order in a pile and ready for you to pick up from 3-4pm that afternoon at her house ********************.  You can come anytime during that hour and grab them, girls do not have to come and you can send your souse if you need to.  If for some reason this time will not work for you please let me know!!!!!

I will be placing my next cookie order after Valentines Day and will ask for those numbers at a later date.

Mother Daughter Camp Day

Morning all,

This Saturday from 2-8pm at Reed Bingham State Park is our Mother Daughter Camp Day. It looks like it will be absolutely beautiful and we are looking forward to a wonderful day with our Scout Mothers and Daughters.  Her is the list our Brownies put together of what EACH girl will need to bring that day.  Moms, you need to bring a snack for yourself and a water bottle as well!
Backpack to keep it all in
Jacket – dress in layers, Girls should wear Jeans
Socks and sneakers
Hat and gloves
Water bottle – filled
Flashlight
Snack- we will not have snacks for the girls, will serve dinner
Notepad / pen or pencil
Extra socks
First Aid kit
Uniform

Optional:
Book for down time
Bug spray

Binoculars
Chap stick

Chris and I will be going out early, but some Moms have voiced a carpool request.  Please REPLY ALL to this email and work the details out amongst yourselves if you are interested in that.

This is who I have attending thus far, I would like a head count so I can shop tomorrow for our meal that the Juniors have planed.  Fifteen Possibly?

The cost for this event is $5 (you can bring it to the event) and will help cover the cost of groceries and fire wood that we have to buy onsite.  Also, don’t forget the park charges $5 to park your car, cash only and you will be responsible for this when you drive in.  The pioneer camp site is where we will be.  Here is a map so you can find us!  Zoom in and you can see it is on the East side of the lake all by itself.  It will be on your left as you drive past all the regular camp sites towards the hiking trails.

See you Saturday at 2pm!!!!!!

1-21-2014 Meeting

Hello All,

Thank you for getting your cookie orders in to me Saturday!  I placed our troop order on Sunday(including all your additions) and was blown away by how well our girls did in pre sales, selling more than 1200 boxes of cookies.  Way to go girls!  With our booth sales ordered as well, we are sitting at 1800 boxes and will likely get $0.65 a box for our troop to use towards summer camp (Juniors) and a day trip (Brownies), instead of just $0.55 a box!

I locked down 4 booth sites and times, we will do one as a troop and will save the rest in case of a rain out, or to move any left over cookies in March. To be fair, I will be crediting each girl with cookies sales from booths based on the amount of hours she works a booth.  I would like each girl to sign up for a 2 hour slot during our booth sale.  We will have 2 tables set up, one at each door of Wal Mart.  I will need 2 adults and at least 2 girls in uniform at each table.  Chris and I will work the whole sale, I will bring a schedule to the meeting Tuesday night and you and your daughter can pick a time slot to attend.  Our booth will be on February 22 from 5-9pm at Wal Mart on Inner Perimeter Rd.

We meet this Tuesday for our Pre Camp Day preparations.  Please have your daughter brig her journal.

I have had a few questions about badges lately so I thought I would let all of you know what were up to.  Your daughter has been earning badges all year, with the exception of her service projects.  We will have a ceremony at the end of the year (a Girl Scout tradition) and award her with all of her earned badges at that time.  I keep track of attendance and good records of who does what, so everyone gets what they have worked hard for.  Your daughter is more than welcome to earn badges on her own, and bring me her work and I will get her the badge and the recognition she deserves.

Thank you
